call for art - TWIN OAKS LIBRARY
This call is open to all CAS members who either reside in or have their studio located in The City of Austin, City Council District 9 (See district map below)
Twin Oaks Branch Library would like to have an artist from City Council District 9 to exhibit during the Austin East/West Studio Tour period. The exhibit would be up from the week of Oct 24 to the week of Nov 5. This is approximately six weeks that includes the studio tour period. Actual installation and strike dates are coordinated with the library and the incoming/outgoing artist.
The City of Austin is not coordinating these, as it has in prior years, and this information has come to us too late to submit anything to the catalog. However, the library, itself, would like to have an artist representing the City Council District 9 for this period of time. The work should be 2-D, however, low-profile 3-D hanging work is acceptable. It can be small, medium or large. All CAS Exhibit Guidelines are applicable to work exhibited, except that the artist is responsible for curating the exhibit, making and printing the labels/tags from a template, and hanging/striking the exhibit.
If you are a CAS member who lives or has your studio in City Council District 9, and are willing and able to exhibit during this time. This call closes on August 31, 2022.
